Such a sad and haunting book, yet beautifully written, Between Shades Of Grey really captured me and touched my heart. On the blurb of the copy I read, it said something like: "Have you ever wondered what a human life is worth? That day, my brother's was worth a pocket watch." I mean, you can just tell from that that it's going to be a book that will make you cry, can't you? And it really did. Make me cry, that is. But it was such as beautiful book at the same time. Read it. ;)

ReplyDeleteOoh man I have had this one on my shelf for awhile and THEN this year at BEA I MET Ruta so I really need to read it, even though I'm scared of the emotion! My friend Tara LOVES this book.

Yes, I've started this one, but never finished. It was totally heart-wrenching. I was wondering if anyone would pick this and it took me until the last link to find it.
ReplyDeleteThat story's interesting...i've heard about this book but haven't picked it up...it's kinda hard for me to recommend a book that made me emotional cause a lot of the ones i've read made me emotional in one way or the other.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say Nevermore (i'm soooo obsessed with this one), i got really into the character and the love they feel for each other. It was just so believable.
I've actually had this one on my TBR list for ages!!! Sounds really good!
